Dedman Property Management commissioned LSJ Engineering to replace access staircases for the Linden Court flats in the lovely seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. This was quite a local job for us, as we are based just up the road in Shoeburyness!
- Client: Dedman Property Management
- Modelled by: Mark Ebbs
- Job Date: late 2016
Our new stairs needed to be functional, comply to current building regulations and have a minimum life of 30 years. The existing steel-and-concrete staircases were old and very rusty. They did not comply to current regulations and were therefore quite dangerous.
We designed and fitted the new staircases in around six weeks. We fitted the new staircases using a small mobile crane and ‘cherry pickers’ for safe height access. The stairs themselves have a hot dip galvanized finish which, with the correct maintenance, will last for 30 years.
This was a relatively short job, but we’re really pleased with how it turned out! What do you think of the new staircases?
