Access Staircases at Linden Court, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex

Dedman Property Management commissioned LSJ Engineering to replace access staircases for the Linden Court flats in the lovely seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. This was quite a local job for us, as we are based just up the road in Shoeburyness!

Our new stairs needed to be functional, comply to current building regulations and have a minimum life of 30 years. The existing staircases were made from steel and concrete, but were old and very rusty. They did not comply to current regulations and were therefore quite dangerous.

We designed and fitted the new staircases in around six weeks from start to finish. We fitted the new staircases using a small mobile crane and ‘cherry pickers’ for safe height access. The stairs themselves have a hot dip galvanized finish which, with the correct maintenance, will last for 30 years.

What do you think of the new access staircases? We’re really pleased with how they turned out!
